On Saturday 18th August 2012 a group of enthusiastic cyclists will leave Ballyvary and travel to Tralee, taking with them a Rose which will be presented the following day to our very own Mayo Rose, Dervla Kenny. The Rose will be passed from Cyclist to Cyclist as it makes it way from Ballyvary to Tralee via Claremorris, Ballindine, Tuam, Claregalway, Ennis, Tarbert on to Tralee. The Aim of this Sponsored Cycle is to show how proud the Local Community is of Dervla, and also to raise much needed funds for our Community Sports Facilities. The event is being organised by the Ballyvary/Keelogues Development Company, who are asking for your support. The cyclists will be wearing T-Shirts donated by Homecare Medical Supplies and sponsored by businesses right across Mayo.

If next weekend you see a group of weary cyclists carrying a Rose through your village or town please support them generously.

The full list of Cyclists and Sponsors are available on the BKD Facebook Page.
