The Western Region Drugs Task Force in conjunction with An Garda Síochána are launching a campaign to encourage people to stay safe on Party Nights out.

Don't let a good night out turn into a morning full of regret. The idea is to inform people of the dangers involved in excessive alcohol consumption and/or drug use.

The campaign looks at the top tips to stay safe at night. These include the following.

  • Both men and women are at risk of their drinks being spiked.
  • Watch your drink being poured, keep your friends with you
  • If a drink tastes unusual or smells odds do not drink it
  • Don't accept a drink from someone you don't know and trust and don't share or swap drinks.
