John Walsh representing Castlebar Credit Union said they are delighted to be associated with the new Social Services building project, which will benefit a large number of people from the area. The first cheque for €1,000, was presented to PJ Nally which is part of the 5-year deal of €5,000 for the redevelopment of the Social Services Centre in Castle Street. PJ Nally, Chairman Castlebar Voluntary Social Services, thanked John and the Credit Union for their generous support, he said that the original building which was built in the 1800's as a school and community centre, will be brought up to modern day standards with a €900,000 new build and refit of the existing building which will continue its life in serving the people of Castlebar and beyond for many years to come.
