Support for Alzheimer's Day Centre

A Mayo based community group, The Alzheimer's Day Centre, Castlebar receives support from local EBS office.

The Alzheimer's Day Centre offers vital respite to carers of Alzheimer's and their families in a safe, stimulating and sociable environment. The centre was opened in 2006 and to date has provided care for over 35 people from the Castlebar area.

Barney Kiernan, manager of EBS Linenhall Street Castlebar said: "All over Ireland, groups and organisations are working to improve the welfare of their local communities by selflessly giving up their time to help others. The EBS Community Fund gives these groups a chance to be recognised and rewarded for their amazing contribution to their local communities."
