GIY (Grow-it-Yourself) Meeting – 10 March 2014.

The next meeting of Castlebar GIY (Grow-it-Yourself), takes place on Monday 10th March at 7.30pm in the Le Cheile Family Resource Centre, Tucker Street, Castlebar.  Our talk will be about "Gardening for Wildlife", and will be given by Chris and Lynda Huxley.

Chris and Lynda have been living in Belcarra for 14 years.  They have a 5 acre smallholding which they manage to benefit not only themselves but wildlife.  They will talk about how they run their smallholding and the techniques they use for growing vegetables, rearing sheep, and encouraging wildlife.

This is going to be an interesting evening, so please come along and bring a friend!
