Summer Heritage Tours

Whether you are a visitor to the area or a local that would like to know more of the history of the locality guided heritage walking tours will once again be provided in Castlebar and Newport during the months of July and August.

A historical tour of Castlebar will be held each Saturday morning led by Brían Hoban, Local Historian & Fáilte Ireland Approved Tour Guide. Depart from the 1798 Memorial, The Mall, Castlebar (beside traffic lights) at 10 a.m. sharp.

Also a historical tour of Newport will be provided each Friday evening during July and August, led by Brían Hoban. Tours will depart from Hotel Newport, at 7 p.m. sharp.

Group tours may be arranged at other times by appointment.
