Summer 2015 foraging workshops

We have had a wonderful Summer with our wild foraging walks and heritage tours in Erris, here is a small collection of photos from our very busy summer. The soft rains encouraged more wild plants to grow which enhanced the experience for all our foragers. We are still running wild foraging walks and have recommenced our wild foraging workshops. We are currently booked out until the 27 September but do have spaces available after that date. To book your wild foraging experience in the best place in Ireland to go wild , call us on 0872169625 or contact us on Facebook.com/gaolsiarpage

An Erris Welcome for Indiana Students
This September Gaol Siar will host a group of university students from Indiana. The group are Celtic Studies students, their trip to Ireland is to explore "Thin Places". Gaol Siar will introduce them to some of our 39 "thin Places" / "Sacred Sites" through out their 4 day stay in Erris. The early Christian church sent it's monks to the Island of rest (Inis Gé) and the island of Glory (Inis Gluaire) to reflect, this accounts for why we have such a high number of sacred sites in Erris. If you would like to discover the Sacred sites and Thin Places of Erris, book now by calling us on 0872169625 or by contacting us on Facebook.com/gaolsiarpage. To see some details of our Sacred Sites, check out our short Youtube Video on https://youtu.be/susNnQaJBWQ
