From Castlebar - County Mayo - Love Castlebar CHRISTMAS LIGHTS SWITCH ON Next Friday, November 28th, sees Castlebar come alive with the lighting of the Christmas lights on The Mall. At 5.00pm Mayo Gospel Choir will fill the green to the sounds of their beautiful music while Santa arrives with some help from Castlebar Men's Shed, before handing over to the local girls of St. Joseph's Choir. Mayo County Councilor Al McDonnell, Chairman of Castlebar Municipal Area, will perform the switching on. The music continues with Castlebar Town band and local stars Chris & Dave will be on hand to sing a song or two joined by all the choirs and musicians. The Love Castlebar team will be on hand to paint any little faces by would like some Christmas colour attached. This will be a fun and lively evening. Please come and support the local singers and musicians and you never know what Santa might have for you in his sleigh? Everyone welcome so make sure to put the date in your diary.
