Membership
The club membership list is now open. The cost this year is €20 (euro) and can be paid to any member of the committee. The club has ambitious plans for the coming year, both on and off the pitch. In order to achieve these targets, it is essential, therefore, that prospective members indicate their intention by paying their subscription as soon as possible.

Co Board Draw
Tickets for the Co Board draw for 2002 are now available. The club, as well as the Co Board, gains directly from the sale of these tickets with a proportion of the sales being retained. The Co Board development in its pitch at McHale Road is now to be seen and admired in Castlebar. With the newly developed grounds and lights, the Co team has been training hard for the last few weeks. It is hoped that every member would sell at least two tickets and thus aid in the continuing development plans.

Congratulations
Best wishes and congratulations are extended to Shane Fitzmaurice on his selection with the Co team. We look forward to seeing Shane develop to his full potential under the expert attention of the Co Board management

CRC FM
Castlebar Mitchels have gratefully accepted the offer of the Saturday sports show to contribute. The Mitchels segment can be heard every Sat immediately after the one o clock news on 102.9 FM.

Dinner Dance
The annual Club Dinner takes place in the Welcome Inn Hotel on Sat 16 Feb and tickets are available at a cost of €25 (euro) each. As usual the demand will outstrip supply and so to avoid disappointment, buy early and avoid the last minute panic. As in previous years this will be a spectacular event and one not to be missed

Sportlann
Activity continues to thrive in an Sportlann. Team Westaro are certainly producing the thrills in Basketball whilst the racquetball and squash clubs continue to thrive. Saturday sports camps are now being held for 6 - 12 year olds from 11 am to 3 pm. Many sports are catered for including unihoc, orienteering, football, volleyball. For further info contact 094-22983

This is the time of the year to get back into shape and so the gym is now a hive of activity. Three-month membership is now available for € 65 (euro)

Club Meeting
A club meeting will take place in the Welcome Inn Hotel on next Fri 25 Jan at 8 pm. It is hoped that the management structures for the coming year will be unveiled. It will also mark the first stage in the implementation of the strategy agreed at the AGM.

International Series
Congratulations to Martin Carney on his appointment as a selector for the International Rules series in the autumn. No doubt the Kangaroos will be hopping about McHale Park during the summer
