Bank Holiday Monday saw a great game of hurling between the under and over 30s’. The young lads went out with the tag of favourites, but old warriors like Padraig Felle and John Joe Ormsby were having none of it and playing with the wind in the 1st half lead by 4 pts at the break. The young lads backboned by Martin Clarke and Eamon Shaughnessy, both still claiming to be under 30, fought back in the 2nd half with some good scores taken by the Greaney brothers, Daithi Hughes, Paul Duane and the aforementioned Shaughnessy. Mark Deeley and Owen Shaughnessy kept the old lads in touch with Owen getting the equalizer with the last puck of the game. The replay is on next Sunday evening @ 5pm with rumor having it that Tony Stakelum is making his comeback.
Over 30s; C. Ruane, J.J. Ormsby, M. Boland, J. Kennedy, O. Shaughnessy, T. Byrne, P. Felle, M. Deeley, J. Carroll.
Under 30s; K. Kelly, M. Cryan, M. Clarke, J. McHale, D. Greaney, E. Shaughnessy, D. Hughes, P. Duane, M. Greaney.
