And to Land?s End unites the mercurial talents of husband-and-wife team Michael Rooney (harp, concertina) and June McCormack (flute), members of the acclaimed trad duo Draí¯£ht, with the unique singing of Niamh de B? An All-Ireland Harp champion, Michael Rooney has also won the prestigious Granard and Keadue harp competitions and recorded with The Chieftains on their Grammy Award-winning CD, The Celtic Harp. June McCormack won the Senior Flute competition at Fleadh Cheoil na hÉ©reann in 1998, and, in the same year, was voted the TG4 Young Traditional Musician of the Year. Niamh de B?has sung with the groups Fionnuisce and Grianá® and in the stage show Rag?nd has been described by Altan?s Mair顤 Ní �haonaigh as ?one of Irish music?s best-kept secrets.? Part of a Music Network tour, the concert showcases tunes from Draí¯£ht?s highly-acclaimed CD, Land?s End. A night of the finest trad in prospect.
