The Newly Formed PARKE MUSICAL SOCIETY Will Bring ANNIE To The Hearts Of Many In January 2015.

The extension to Parke Community hall and additional floor space funded by South West Mayo Development Company under the Rural Development Programme 2007 - 2013 has made another dream a reality for the Parke community, that is to set up its very own musical society, Parke Musical Society.

To take you on the first of many musical theatre journeys, producers of the show Breda Morris and Kate Boyle have chosen the timeless story that is 'Annie' the musical.

Coming on board as Musical Director is Rebecca Cresham who is trained both classically and traditionally. She is currently completing her honours degree in music. She has taught music at secondary school level throughout Mayo and is the Musical Director for Balla Secondary School with the most recent production being ‘Matilda - With a Twist', which she co-wrote and directed, with ‘Back to the 80's' coming up this November. She is a qualified piano teacher and having been awarded High Achiever Awards herself she now enjoys success with her own students being awarded Permanent TSB High Achiever Awards. Rebecca has accompanied many vocalists/instrumentalists and is proud to be the accompanist of the award winning Mayo Male Voice Choir and the award winning senior choirs from St. Joseph's Secondary School, Castlebar who have competed in RTE's 'All Island School Choir Competition' twice, which is broadcast on Lyric FM and RTE 1. Rebecca has been a member of The Mayo Concert Orchestra and participated in The European Orchestra Festival 2009.

Director Ronan Lardner is an Actor, Director and Choreographer throughout the west of Ireland. He has just finished a successful run of Frost/Nixon in the Town Hall, Galway, playing the part of the Late David Frost. He is a six time AIMS nominee and Award winner for Acting. Ronan Looks forward to working with the new cast, and wishes all involved a very successful run.
