The Libertad.

The sail training ship the Libertad at Galway Docks on a courtesy visit to Ireland to mark the 150^th anniversary of the death of Foxford born, Admiral William Browne, founder of the Argentinean navy. Hundreds of people are taking the opportunity of having a guided tour of the vessel.

Built in 1962, this magnificent craft has three masts, two diesel engines, and is approximately 90 metres long. It has a crew of over 200 and its homeport is Puerto Belgrano.
