               The Libertad.

The sail training ship the Libertad at Galway Docks on a courtesy visit to Ireland to mark the 150th anniversary of the death of Foxford born, Admiral William Browne, founder of the Argentinean navy. Hundreds of people are taking the opportunity of having a guided tour of the vessel.

Built in 1962, this magnificent craft has three masts, two diesel engines, and is approximately 90 metres long. It has a crew of over 200 and its homeport is Puerto Belgrano.
