The 2013 edition of the Castlebar Parish Magazine is currently on sale in shops throughout the town.

It contains many interesting stories and some great photographs. Among the articles are a look back at events in Castlebar in 1913 and in 1963, the history of Castlebar Workhouse and the connection of the Lucan families and General George O'Malley with the town.

There is also a look back at the 60th anniversary celebrations of Breaffy GAA Club and at the Staball residents reunion.

The usual lists of births, marriages and deaths are also included in the magazine which priced at €7 is great value.
