Walk and Talk Weekend

September 28th to September 30th.

Friday September 28th

Information night in Mc William Park Hotel, Claremorris with two fantastic speakers:

1) Dave Langford- internationally renowned organic grower and collector of indigenous species of seed potatoes- who will be giving a talk on the use of Irish seed potatoes as a sustainable answer to world poverty. There will be a display of 50 varieties of indigenous Irish Seed Potatoes.

2) John Cunningham an accomplished writer, historian, genealogist and tour guide from Erne Tour guides will speak on the social change and long lasting effects of the Irish Potato Famine of 1845 -1850


Sunday September 30th
Come and experience the beauty of Mayo's boglands and admire the unique bio-diversity of this area and learn about the rich heritage of this glorious landscape.

Fully guided 10 kilometre moderate walk in aid of two very worthy charities Vita and Leeds Irish Health and Home.
