Begging Around the Church
A number of people have said that they feel intimidated by people begging both inside and outside the church. Please be very careful of your belongings in the church, especially during Mass. Also, please do not encourage this practice of begging by giving money.
****************************************************The National Grandparents Pilgrimage to Our Lady's Shrine Knock takes place on Sun 11th Sept. Chief Celebrant: Archbishop Michael Neary. Blessing of the sick at 2.30pm, Mass at 3pm followed by the Rosary.

BAPTISMS
Baptisms are held in the Parish
Church every month on the first
Sunday at 2pm and the third
Saturday at 4pm.
Parents are requested to register at the Presbytery, Chapel St. (tel. 9021844) beforehand and attend the Baptism meeting on the previous Thursday at 8.30pm in the Monastery. Members of the baptism team will be in contact with parents prior to the baptism.

The Tochar Phádraig Pilgrim Walks from Ballintubber Abbey to Croagh Patrick takes place on Sat 27th Aug departing the Abbey at 8.30am. This is the last guided walk for this year. A backup car will accompany all the walkers to the end at Murrisk. Contact Ballintubber Abbey Office for more info on 9030934.
