The National Grandparents Pilgrimage will be held in Knock Shrine on Sun. 13th Sept. The Pilgrimage begins with the anointing of the sick at 2.30p.m. The special Prayer for Grandparents written by Pope Benedict XVI will once again play a central part in this year’s pilgrimage. A new Catholic Grandparents Association will be launched as part of the pilgrimage.

Youth Leadership Training
Youth groups throughout the region provide a wonderful public service to the thousands of young people involved. However many youth group leaders feel that they would benefit greatly from leadership training. The Family Centre, Chapel St., Castlebar have teamed up with Mayo VEC to offer a six day training course for youth leaders spread over a six month period. The course promises to be lively, engaging, practical and informative. It starts on Sat. 26th Sept. from 10a.m. to 3.30p.m. Further details from the Family Centre or log on to www.familycentre.com
