BOOKED MASSES 2011
From January 2011, we are introducing shared Mass Intentions in the Parish Church from Monday to Saturday at the 8a.m. and 10a.m. Masses.
This means that Masses will no longer be reserved for just a single intention. There will be a maximum of three intentions per Mass. This will mean a family can have their loved ones remembered on a particular day.
Shared Mass intentions are the norm and acceptable practise throughout the diocese.
This new system should alleviate the need people feel to have to ‘book’ Masses far in advance of an anniversary.
For this reason the Mass book will not be opened in July this year. Instead bookings will be taken from mid September onwards.
We appeal to parishioners understanding of the new circumstances and trust in your co-operation in these matters.
