Legion of Mary

On Sept. 7^th the Legion of Mary celebrates the 90^th anniversary of its foundation.

Mass will be offered for its founder Frank Duff and dec. Legion of Mary members at 8a.m. on Wed. 7^th Sept. in the Parish Church.

A social evening organised by the Westport Curia will commence with Rosary, Legion prayers and Mass at 7.10p.m. on Wed. 7^th followed by refreshments and entertainment in St. Gerald’s Parish Centre. All Legionaries active and auxiliary and former members are welcome and should contact Paula at 087 6750302 to obtain tickets. Tickets cost €6.

New edition of the Roman Missal

Next Sunday marks a significant step in the journey towards full use of the new edition of the Roman Missal on the First Sunday of Advent. Next Sunday, we will have the new translations of the following texts:

The people’s response to the greeting by the priest, the I confess, the Gloria, the Apostles’ Creed and the acclamations for the Eucharistic Prayer as well as the text for the invitation to Communion.
