Castlebar Special Olympics Host Town committee have produced a CD celebrating the theme of Special Olympics World Summer Games 2003…Share the feeling!

The CD is entitled Share the feeling…sing the feeling! and is comprised of 3 tracks, 2 of which are by Castlebar based musical groups-Castlebar Gospel Choir and the Mayo County Choir

The 1^st track ‘Amigo Mor, My Friend’ was specially written for the Special Olympics by Michael O’ Dowd, a member of Ballinasloe Host Town committee.

It is sung by Christine Patterson whom people will remember as a member of the Donegal folk group ‘The Pattersons’ Pupils from St Angela’s NS, St Patrick’s BNS, St Anthony’s SS, Scoil Raifteiri and Breaffy NS will perform this song on Monday June 16^th as part of the celebrations to welcome the Final Leg Torch Run to Castlebar.

Castlebar host town committee is very grateful to Ronan Courell for his sponsorship of the recording and to Cashin Print for all the printing. The artwork is the work of Castlebar based artist Conor McGuire

The CDs were assembled by trainees of the NTDI, Breaffy Rd, Castlebar.

All proceeds from the CDs go to local Special Olympics clubs. The CDs are available in Tescos, Music Megastore, Downtown Records and the Linenhall Arts Centre. Your support is greatly appreciated.
