Special Olympics- Volunteer Orientation

With 70 days remaining until the arrival of over 7000 athletes and the start of the Host Town Programme, regional training sessions for volunteers are being organised around the country. The designated session for volunteers from Galway, Mayo and Roscommon will take place on Saturday 26th April in Leisureland, Galway from 2-4pm. This is an important opportunity to learn more about the 2003 Special Olympic World Summer Games and all volunteers for the Castlebar Host Town Programme are invited to attend. These General Orientation sessions will last approximately 2 hours and will provide all volunteers attending with the essential information needed to be a volunteer for the 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games Host Town Programme.

Carmel Dooley, Volunteer co-ordinator, Castlebar Host Town Programme would like to remind all those intending to volunteer to return their official application forms as soon as possible to 2003 Special Olympics World Summer Games, Freepost P.O. Box 2003 Dublin 7. Volunteers are reminded that unless they complete and return this application form they cannot be registered or insured as a volunteer by Special Olympics Head Office in Dublin
