Special Olympics Vounteer Night - 26 May 2003

Castlebar Special Olympics Host Town committee will hold a Volunteer Orientation Night in the Travellers Friend Royal Hotel and Theatre on Monday 26th May at 8pm. This orientation session will provide all registered volunteers with essential information for their participation in the Host Town programme. Topics to be addressed include learning disability, cultural awareness, intercultural communication in addition to volunteer rotas and the Host Town schedule of activities.

 In common with all 160 host towns Castlebar Host Town committee has been allocated a small number of tickets for the opening ceremony of the Games on June 21st. At a recent committee meeting it was decided to raffle these among the volunteers. This draw will take place at the Volunteer Orientation Night and all officially registered volunteers are eligible to enter. For further details contact Carmel Dooley on 087-2349903
