Choices by Tom Latchford - at the Linenhall 2nd Oct
By John Mulligan
6, Oct 2003 - 18:47

Choices is a joy to behold, over one act and nine scenes it brings the audience on a roller coaster of emotions that range from one extreme to another. From the opening curtain we don’t really know what is to come but at the end it combines brilliantly to give us a combination of drama, laughter and intensity not often in this style of writing.

This is a complex jigsaw of many pieces, held together by a wonderful cast of just four players that finally are combined at the very end. But do not let that fool you, by then you will have lived each moment as the character, going through every laugh, every tear and every emotion imaginable to the human soul.

You will have to make choices as to which your favourite character is; such is the strength in every one. But you will be glad you made the choice to see this play, it was simply magnificent.

(Choices was performed at the Linenhall by the Tír na nÓg Players with Donna Ruane, Matt McLoughlin, Mary Latchford and Tom Latchford directed by Ray Leonard)
