International multi-award winning singer Tommy Fleming takes to the stage for his first major acting role in a brand new original drama/musical entitled 'Paddy'.

This must-see show, which is co-written by Tommy Fleming alongside singer/songwriter Gerry Carney and Tommy Marren (writer of the hugely successful 'Its the Real McCoy), tells the story of Patrick Murphy who emigrates to England to start a new life on the building sites of London.

With a gripping storyline that is set in both Ireland and England over a 25-year period - alongside 13 original songs - 'Paddy' promises to be a unique night of stunning drama and spectacular music.

Simply unmissable!

It's rural Ireland in the 1960s. Few opportunities exist for those looking for a brighter future and Patrick Murphy (Tommy Fleming) decides to head to the building sites of London like so many others before him.

He leaves behind a heart-broken mother and grandmother as well as his childhood sweetheart Kathleen. Like thousands before him he vows to return soon with enough money to set up a better life in Ireland. However, on the night of his arrival Patrick encounters a chance meeting with Paddy ‘The Shovel' (Gerry Carney) as he looks for direction to his digs and his life is about to change forever.

A bond between the two men is quickly established and Paddy ‘The Shovel' convinces his flatmate Billy Salmon (Tommy Marren) to give young Patrick ‘a start' which he duly does and Patrick gets his first big break on his very first night in London.

From an ordinary labourer Patrick quickly establishes himself as a young man keen to make an impression and quickly climbs the ladder of success. However, with success comes temptation and Patrick experiences a rollercoaster of emotions and experiences for the next 25 years.

The story unfolds in a unique and entertaining way with 13 original songs painting a vivid picture of where the various characters are at any given time. The scenes and songs are perfectly placed to allow the story of Patrick Murphy's trials and tribulations in London unfold before the audience.

Mixing comedy with emotion and reality is never easy but ‘Paddy' finds the balance perfectly as the true story of emigration is told in a sensitive yet revealing way.
