The spectacular musical event that is “Fiddler on the roof” is coming to the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, Co. Mayo on 30th September to the 4th of October. Tickets are on sale now for the show that is exhilarating, joyous and an all time favourite Broadway musical.

Packed with some of the best-loved songs in the history of musicals, this magnificent show has struck a chord with audiences of all ages. This brand new show features major star of stage and screen Joe McGann in the lead role of the man who dreams of riches, respect and a quiet family life.

In a Jewish village in Czarist Russia dairyman Tevye (Joe McGann) is doing his best to preserve tradition in the face of a changing world, but when his daughters refuse the matchmaker’s advice and marry for love, Tevye must choose between their happiness and those beloved traditions.

Fiddler on the Roof is blessed with a gloriously rousing score full of memorable melodies, which, bound by a moving and compelling storyline, heartwarming humour and colourful characters, Jerome Robbins’ dramatic original choreography, wonderfully evocative sets and costumes and sheer joie de vivre, make this the musical to capture your hearts!
