W32/Badtrans@MM is a nasty one that replies to your unread email messages and may send private information back to the originator of the virus.

Watch out for the following list as attachments:

images.pif
New_Napster_Site.DOC.scr
news_doc.scr
Me_nude.AVI.pif
Pics.ZIP.scr
README.TXT.pif
s3msong.MP3.pif
searchURL.scr
SETUP.pif
Sorry_about_yesterday.DOC.pif
YOU_are_FAT!.TXT.pif

Double extensions are a real warning sign especially after SirCam. An underline in the To: address is another danger sign - delete on sight.

A lot of blank messages with RE: as the title and a 40k attachment have also been doing the rounds.

Once you are infected it's quite difficult to get rid of it - check out: McAfee Advice

Really the only answer is to have an up-to-date virus checker installed on your computer and schedule the update to run regularly - daily.
