Tournament Rules and Conditions of Entry
-
This tournament has been sanctioned by Tennis Ireland and the rules of the association shall apply as well as any other local conditions posted in the Club. The official entry form can be downloaded at
www.castlebartennisclub.com . Entries together with fees shall be sent to The Tournament Secretary, Castlebar Tennis Club, Pavilion Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo.

Closing date for entries shall be 6.00pm on Friday 25th July 2008. Draw will take place at 8.00 pm on Monday 28th July 2008. The draw and first round schedule shall be available online from Wed 30th July 2008.

Play commences on Saturday 2nd August at 9.00am. Local players may be required to play before that date. A 9.00am start on Saturday and Sunday will apply. All competitors are required to be available from 8.45am on Saturday.

Tretorn Micro X tennis balls will be used
-
To avoid unnecessary cancellation of events, grading of players will be at the discretion of the Committee.

Plate events will be played where possible.

A minimum age of 16 + and juniors may only enter the championship events, i.e. the ‘A’ sections.

Recognised tennis attire must be worn on court.
-
Outside courts may be used and any match may be played on omni-court or hard-court surface as outlined in the schedule.

Competitors are only permitted to enter TWO EVENTS.

For the purpose of this tournament, a novice is a competitor who has never competed in an open competition.
