Kevin Sharkey, the artist whose life, work and phenomenal success were the subject of a recent major RTE documentary shot in Ireland and Spain and who recently had a sell-out exhibition alongside Irish art luminaries Louis le Brocquy, the late Tony O´Malley and William Crozier at The Gresham in Dublin, is to officially open The Kevin Sharkey Gallery at Main Street in the beautiful town of Newport on 30th July 2005.
The Kevin Sharkey Gallery will be run by proprietors Debbie & Mark Rooney and will exclusively feature the
highly collectable work of the artist recently described by The Irish Times as, ´The Investment Artist´.
The gallery will open with the outstanding exhibition ´The Sun, The Moon & The Stars´ a collection of sixteen new abstract landscape paintings and will run throughout August and September.
