You refer to Northern Ireland where over 3,000 people have been killed in a 30 year period. The 6 counties have been one of the most troubled spots in the world over the past 30 years. There is a large urban working class population that has known nothing but strife and secterianism for generations. On the BB we are discussing the lack of law and order in a "small" Irish country town that was previously known for its quality of life. I dont know if there has ever been a murder in Castlebar? If you have ever been to Castlebar, you will know that on a Saturday night after the nightclubs are over, it is not uncommon for hundreds of young people to be on the streets of the town. How much evidence do you need? I would be really interested to know what your solution is? If you tell me it is to go to the guards, I suggest you take out a subscription to the Connaught Telegraph, where you can read all about the lack of support the guards get from the Judiciary once these perpetrators are brought before the courts-with evidence I imagine!!
