Some shops are not giving out 1Cent, 2 Cent or 5 Cent coins in change and are rounding the change in favour of the customer. Petes in Parnell Street in Dublin were on the radio recently giving out about the small coins and decided on the above strategy. Seemingly, it reduces the queues at the tills and that makes up for the "loss" in their business by not giving out the small coins.
