Waiting days, maybe weeks for accesss to the mainframe. Finally, a slot opens up at 2:00 A.M. or 3:00 A.M. You place your treasured punch cards as per the instructions and come back next morning with the expectation of results that will allow you to get on with your studies. No such luck! One card or a punched hole is out of sequence or wrong and the whole process has aborted. Now I understand the pleasure of punching.
