What's the story with the Mall - Work went on at a frantic pace for weeks and now it has ceased in a half finished state. There are lumps of masonry and tarmacadam and steel rods lying all over the place, and the grass surface is all dug up and rough and needs to be properly levelled and rolled and reseeded, ideally in the coming weeks to be ready for summer. Or is the whole much vaunted effort going to be left as it is, as something of a shambles?
