Not sure which bit is more amazing, Maradona Jr for Clyde, or the fact that Alan Kernaghan is their manager !!
Diego Maradona's son has been offered on loan to Scottish First Division side Clyde.
The Argentine superstar's 16-year-old son Diego Junior is currently with Italian Serie B side Napoli, where his dad became a legend in the late 80s and early 90s.
Maradona has never recognised the child, but after DNA tests in 1993 the Italian courts confirmed the boy was his son.
Clyde boss Alan Kernaghan admits he will look into the possibility of Diego Junior joining his squad in the summer.
He told The Sun: "I took a phone call out of the blue last week from a TV company acting on behalf of Napoli about the possibility of Diego Maradona's son coming to Clyde.
"At the moment, he's too young to play for the first team there and they want to put him out on loan next season.
"They said they can't really put him on loan to another Italian club because there would be too much pressure on him with the media there.
"I haven't really had the chance to look into it because we're fighting for promotion but it is definitely something we will check out in the summer."
Kernaghan insists he would not sign Diego Junior purely to generate publicity.
"He's bound to have some of his dad's genes but I would have to find out more about him first," Kernaghan said of the young Italian, who joined Napoli's youth programme in 1997 and called up for Italy's under-17s aged only 14.
"There would certainly be a lot of good publicity generated from him coming to Clyde but I wouldn't just sign him for that."
