D'ja know a thought just occured to me.

If Sadaam Hussein is as much of a tyrant and as dangerous as the American's claim he is, how come they're so confident that they can beat him and oust him from power with relatively little effort.
If he really is as dangerous as they say he is, then by extention he should in theory prove to be a much more formidable foe than they think.

On the other hand if they feel that they are unlikely to encounter very much resistance by the Iraqi army, or by conventional or Nuclear or Chemical weapons (Otherwise why would they actually be intent on exposing an army of 300,000 to this threat?) then perhaps he is not really as big a threat as they're trying to claim he really is.

1st rule of war: Never underestimate your enemy
2nd rule: Never overplay his latent capabilities for propaganda or political purposes either - it'll eventually backfire on you.
