I sympatise with your frustration, but remember you are in a better position to do something about it than we are. You are still a democracy >>over there, right?

I am happy to see that the Irish on this message board can see what is really going on over in the USA, my country. I am happy that you can distinguish between its government and its people. So many other places I have participated in disscussions with in other countries are not as open minded as you all are. They say if you don't agree with this why live there? That questions is so mult facited that I wouldn't even go there.

And yes we are still a democracy, but I think so many months of protesting, writing letters, writing e-mails with no sucess or regard to our feelings has frustrated the majority of the public and with all this media coverage that gives us a slanted view of the war some people feel that have no real power anymore. I didn't know Dan Rather was afraid to ask a question ..that says a lot when a well respected veteran in news who has been around the world a zillion times over says that.

I personaly won't give up my protests, but I can now see why the world views America like it does now. I just hope they are as open minded as those in Ireland.
