So why didn't Iraq use WMD them if they had them? Obviously because they don't have this capability any more. And then the slow pace of disarmament and the inspection process. Impatient boys GW and Rumstead's so they told us that there way is quicker - it would all be done and dusted in a few days. Wrong again folks! But it's alright because black is white and we can prove it with the help of Mr Murdoch! Just watching Channel 4 coverage from Basra with British troops walking through the streets they got plenty of thumbs down as well as a fairly muted welcome by others. Kids talking to soldiers but not sure if they were cursing at them or welcoming them. Some people interviewed (by embedded reporters) said they were delighted but others said that they were now faced with chaos. Shots of extensive looting seemed to support the latter. Having said that they were looting Bathist party buildings so I reckon I would be joining them if I were there myself - but it also says that they no longer fear Saddam Hussein in Basra - the last thing you would do is loot his party buildings. But still no flowers on the street!
