It's such an irony that the Greens stance in this election has put their cause back twenty years.
(And I am a Green supporter - but I'm almost as disillusioned with them now as with Bush - It's was an awful stubborn miscalculation by them I think)
In 1992 at the Rio Conference GW's Dad was saying "well there's no proof of global warming" - His son is being even more arrogant about it. i.e. "Even if we do cause 50% of greenhouse gas emmisions we're not going to take any responsibility for it if everyone else doesn't take responsibilityu for teh 2% they contribute and let the rest of the world be dammed but America is NOT going to cut back on Gas and Oil consumption, because in The land of the Free everyone has the right to drive a 6 litre SUV and should even if it involves drilling for oil in The Arctic to permit it" Just be thankful this cretin's term will only last four years cos he'd be setting his sight on the Grobal Wilderenss Preserve of Antarctica once he's exhausted the possibilities in the Northern Hemisphere, cos after all his Oil cronies deserve their payoff since they're the ones that paid his way into the job.
