I doubt that George Dubya is trying to start a war - even someone of his limited intellect, must see the futility in such a a move. But a ratcheting up of cold war tensions is just the thing he needs, to convince the American public of the need to go ahead with construction of the "Stars Wars" missle defense system. George needs to create an enemy, to scare the public into supporting the "Star Wars" farce. At present, America really has no foe, capable and desirous of engaging in a nuclear war. So George must create the illusion of a threat. Unfortunately, in the hands of so inept a magician, the illusion may become reality.
To this end, in his short time in office, he has managed to set back relations with Iraq, North Korea, China and Russia. Mr Bush puts the planet at risk, so that rich defense contractors, can get richer.
In much the same way, he used the energy crisis in California as an excuse to let the energy moguls drill and mine at will, rather than talking conservation, or alternative energy sources.
This simpleton is a very dangerous man.
