I had to laugh because I think some of the English are the same. Speaking on the phone, so many can't understand the name Murphy. Most can't pronounce the name Fionnuala, eventhough you spell it phonetically for them as F-I-N-O-O-L-A.
A lot delete the letter "R", as in the groce, the butcha, the supamaket. And then they insert the letter "R" where there is none...dramar for drama etc. But then again, wouldn't it just be too awful to contemplate them being the very same as us!! Long live the difference!
