Yes I remember confusion driving out of Dublin after many years absence from the country. There were big green signs with distances and speed limits in kilometers per hour. There were also the old smaller white signs with speed limits in miles per hour. They did not always agree. And the scenic bypass from the west to the airport through Scribblestown. It looked like a travellers encampment with lots of garbage. Hope things have changed.
