Dear Grump - I totally agree. But progress cannot be stopped. OK, it may not be completely safe, and I don't like it anymore than you do. But I have learned (in many years of life) to walk carefully in a burning building, and am a "watchdog," if you will, concerning the present situation.
And please don't blame Mr. George W. It came out today in the L.A. Times that Clinton/Gore had at least a worse record on the Ecology than is (shall be) in any proposals by the present administration.
As well, my friend, Clinton signed Executive Orders and pardons, which, I believe should be abolished, in his last days in office which - for his eight years in office - makes certain areas of the countries water suspect. The question I must ask is: "Why didn't he and Gore 'fix' the problem in their eight years in office?" Slan
