I was brought up Catholic and although it has changed a reasonable amount there probably is some distance between it and what I now believe. Not trying to bash the Catholic church here just a few personal opinions. I know a few Catholic priests and they are all good and honest people. If anything I would say the Churh hierarchy is out of touch with the regular "priest in the street".
