Well I was horrified at the photo of what used to be Flannellys Field - Muirsin Durcan photographed this February two years ago from the top of the hill and just the cottage to be seen. People living in these houses now? I'd like to see more of this part of Castlebar if just to see what it has become. I hate coming back once in a while and being surprised at the changes - sometimes you'd think Castlebar was Dublin it changes so fast. Liked the tree on Castle Street too I must say I never noticed it before and will have a look next time I'm home. Is that a for-sale sign on Dr. Tobins House? What's the deal about the new tax office? Johnny McHales and Rays made me thirsty just looking at them. Not sure that I like the spikes or pikes on the Market Square though. Have they finished the Square job yet? Maybe this should be on the Nostalgia Board ... anyway thanks monkey :) Oh just one further point - is the street from Elison St. to Market Square leading to Durkan's Chemist called Castle Street too or is it Shamble Street? It's the top left on page 4 of the monkey photos.
