Yes, I believe as you do, partially. As to the quotes from scripture, I have been a lector for 29 years and have read them all. But I do not agree that a priest must work, as did Saint Paul. As a matter of fact there is a good friend of mine, an Italian priest who lives with his Mother in Rome, and he works. But there are not too many. Really, the Roman Catholic Church is so large - my parish has 4500 families in it - and they do so much charity work, it is impossible to properly run a parish and have a job outside the ministry. As to the Russian Orthodox, I must say that some of their priests did work for years - as KGB agents. I knew some, as I was their opposite for our side. As for pediphilia among the priesthood - it is very minute, yet one is too many. But I do not judge the Russian Orthodox because of the 'few,' nor should anyone judge the Roman Catholic Church because of the few hypocrites within. God bless you.
