It may be questionable to say, but they still know and love Christ, in their worped way. We pray for them. As to pedophilic priests in Ireland, I always refrain from generalizations, unless facts are proven. If not proven we must, as intelligent beings, await the final outcome. From the Church itself or from the law courts. Our own personal problem is that we shall never know the entire story, in numbers. Only God knows that. As to the 'faithful' forgiving, well that is one of the weaknesses in mankind - ChrIStian men and women, at least; the strength of our Christianity is Faith, Hope and Love. Within is forgiveness, which we have lost in the 'shuffle' of everyday opulence, if you will. We have become far too complacent in most things. Again, as to priests earning their own living. As I said, we in the U.S. are far to large, in Church and parishes to have that as a reality. But many of our priests do run organizations within the Church that help many, many of the poor, etc. If they worked a job their 'precious' actions would cheat some poor out of food, shelter and clothing. As they could not spend enough time 'administering' these programs. Oh, I must say that speaking to you this way is indeed a marvelous experience. You are understanding and I sense you know what real love is, within a Christian heart, free of being a judge of your fellows. Comrades, if you will. OH! The Church will 'move,' and when they do it shall be a shock heard around the world. God bless you and yours. Slainte
