Mr Graney you are obviously singing from the same hymn sheet as the church. Should you follow the media reports of recent events in this country you might believe that the church and it's leaders are the victims of a media witch hunt. Not so, the clerical carpet has just been lifted.
Rev Jon thank you for your comments, I truly appreciate that there are many more good clergy than bad, in fact though I didn't particularly like some, Castlebar has had its share of truly wonderful men and women who served the church and the parish well. It's just the pain of the victims who were for so long ignored by the powers that be whilst all along the dangerous men & women had been identified to their superiors. The pain on Brian Darcys face on last Fridays late late show said it all.
Children have been violated by the church, there are no excuses.
