You make an excellent point in your post, European. It is not the actions of the Jews, nor even the actions off the Israeli people that is so alarming, it is the actions of the Israeli government and their military, that is troubling.

Some people seem incapable of differentiating between the Jewish religion and the Israeli people, or seeing the difference between the people and their government. Many Israelis abhor the tactics practiced by their military.

It is similar to the reactions of some Americans on this BB, when negative things are said about the US government. They (we) fail to realize that there is a difference between the people and the government and take the negative comments too personally.
