If you are aware of any "modern" buildings in the C'bar area which are of any architectural significance, they perhaps you can list them? Some of them are tolerable but most display as much character as can be found in a box. Of course, everyone has different tastes but it is interesting that here in London buildings often less than 20 years old are being knocked down and replaced with yet even more bland designs in glass and steel. Buildings that look good on computer modelling applications often translate badly in the real world. I wonder what future generations will make our rather feeble attempts at ingenuity, especially when compared to the likes of St Pauls or Westminster Abbey in London and buildings in Ireland which have stood the test of not one generation buy many centuries. Perhaps it is the timeless quality that made the convent an attractive building? I wait hopefully (but in vain) for something spendid to replace it...
