Even so, based on the smaller Castlebar boundary and larger Ballina boundary, Castlebar is now 3,500-4,000 larger than Ballina. There is a geograhpical report up here in N.U.I.Galway which estimates this, however the figures are still far below what truely lives in Castlebar. Unfortunatly our boundaries are so small for such a big town.
