You are certainly entitled to your opinion! However, it is so easy to just sit there and moan. A few questions for you: Have you ever helped out or organised a sporting event yourself? Have you given your time freely for the love of the sport? Have you yourself ever tried to fundraise for a club or association? If your answer is yes, fair play to you for giving something back. If you haven't, pleasethink again. There are hundreds and hundreds of people, day in day out who do their best on a voluntary basis for their clubs and sporting organisations. It is not easy. And I get fed up to the teeth having to listen to the hurlers on the ditch all the time. They always know the best way, and they always have plenty to blame! But ask them to get involved themselves and they run for cover. The FAI have a few paid officials, who certainly should be more professional in their aproach. But don't forget, the vast majority on their governing council are volunteers. They give their heart and soul at all times and just think what would happen if they all decided to say to hell with the lot of you! Even in Mayo, we have Pat Quigley, Donal Benson, Tom Kelly, Joe Butler,Jeremy Dee and many many more, and I for one salute them for their unpaid work and I do not think they are a bunch of shites, far from it friend.
